My name is Tom Marshak(b.1982) photographer living and working in London, U.K.
I’m using the camera as a tool to better understand the world around me.
My work is driven by the need to discover the ambiguity of everyday life and I’m
fascinated with the contradictions found within social and cultural landscapes.
I’m mainly Operating analogue photography, and appreciate working with a
minimalistic approach respecting the nature of my subjects.
In 2019 I published my first artist book ‘A Dairy’, based on the ongoing documentary
project began in 2011. ‘A Diary’ was sold at the White Chapel Gallery and The
Photographers Gallery bookshops in London.
In 2021 I was nominated by the British Journal of Photography for ‘The Ones To
Watch’, later in 2023 I was nominated for the winner image for the ‘Portrait Of
Humanity’ award, London. U.K.
